OOTD: Linen Paisley

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

This is the last part of the outfits I did with Rita. Since it was so hot outside during the time of the photoshoot, I decided to stop by Jean Talon market. This was definitely my favourite dress on Rita. Anyways, I hope you been enjoying the outfits :).

OOTD: The Little Owl Necklace

Saturday, July 12, 2014

For this ootd we were at Parc Jarry in Montreal. It was much larger than we anticipated and since it was so warm out, we had a bit of difficulty navigating and having the energy to do the shoot. We also saw an outdoor swimming pool which would've been amazing if we had our bathing suits. But we had a fun time nevertheless. Exploring Montreal is always a treat! (Plus I did come back to the outdoor swimming pool and it was great! [also free!])

In terms of the outfit, I found this dress to be super dainty and Rita liked it a lot as well :). We added the owl necklace because who doesn't have an affinity for cute owls? And to top it off, Rita was wearing a cute bow as well. I think I might start to purchase more random accessories from Ardene. 4 items for 10$ is a pretty good deal.

A Rainy Day in the Market

Wednesday, June 25, 2014

Hello again~

I decided to post another set of photos since I have time now (I just finished up my final exam). So these photos were taken a couple weeks back. In the first set of photos, my friend and I decided to head to the Jean Talon market. Unfortunately because of the rain and cold, we were unable to take a good number of photos. We still had a good time nevertheless. If you ever visit Montreal, I really recommend stopping by the market to grab a bite or to explore. There's a lot of great food there (apart from just flowers)!

The second look was done in St-Hubert Plaza (by the boutique onze store). We intended to showcase this look for the 'look du jour' but unfortunately it did not work out since I the tag was showing in the photo. But I found the look to be especially nice since it suited her style really well :)

Thanks for reading!

Garden Party Dresses

Friday, June 20, 2014

Hey everybody :). I am back as well after the 3 year hiatus. Hopefully both of us will start posting more. I am looking forward to revamping the blog to make it more up-to-date.

Quick life update: I'm in University and I live in Montreal! Through living here, I feel like my fashion influences now come a lot from the city. It is a very fashion forward place (in comparison to other places in Canada) and I feel like everybody dresses so well here. I feel very lucky to be here and if you ever have any questions about the city (like where to visit), feel free to ask!

Lately, I've been working for a boutique called Onze Shop (http://www.onzeshop.com/) which is a Montreal boutique and an online store. I've been helping them out with their blogging and social media. For today's post I wanted to show you some of the photography and styling I've been doing. (I will post the links to all the dresses at the bottom!)

Unfortunately (as you can tell), the two top dresses were too big for her so the photos didn't work out. But I was very happy with how things turned out since it had been a couple of years since I did photography.

À la prochain,

The Dresses:

Path to Summer

Sunday, May 29, 2011

Here are two potential prom dresses that me and my friend were close to getting! Mine was the black dress and the reason I didn't get that (despite it being very black swan like) was because it was black. I adore black dresses but wearing black to prom was something I didn't really want to do :).

For my friend, she adored the "mermaid tail" part at the back of her dress and the colours! But it was around $400 and definitely way above her budget. So she wasn't able to get that dress either :(

Both dresses were found in Toronto on Queen Street!

Hope you enjoyed this post :)

A Wedding Dress Post

Thursday, April 28, 2011

The Royal Wedding is tomorrow! So here's a wedding dress post to commemorate that event. :) Will you be watching it? (I won't be able to since it starts at 3 am where I'm from and I have school)

And which dress do you like best? :)

Have a nice weekend!

Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture

Saturday, February 5, 2011

About a week and a half ago, I saw the cover page of Toronto's free newspaper, Metro. On the front was a picture of a gorgeous dress on a model:

This is the Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture Collection. After seeing this picture, I had to go check up on the collection. Here are a few of my favourites:

Honestly wish I could go around wearing these dresses, like in black and white Hollywood. That would be lovely.

You can see the rest of the collection here: http://www.style.com/fashionshows/complete/S2011CTR-CDIOR

Gowns and Other Sorts

Monday, January 17, 2011

I really love the gown in this picture. And to find an actual purpose to use this photograph I decided to do a quick little blog post about gowns.

Gown: a woman's dress, usually with a close-fitted bodice and a long flared skirt, often worn on formal occasions.

Since prom is coming up (for me anyways), a gown would be the perfect kind of dress for anyone who wants to feel like a princess. It seems like a lot of girls fall more into the casual, short, cutesy kind of style but I find that being more feminine is what would catch people's eyes the most.

There's something elegant about wearing something long and flattering your figure. It shows your confidence with your body and your confidence being the centre of attention.

You also would stand out a lot more and would be bound to get compliments all night long.
