Three Summer Looks

Sunday, June 29, 2014

This week I posted my first blog post with Boutique Onze ~ http://onzeblog.com/fashion/summer-looks-in-old-port/ . If you're interested, feel free to read it.

For this photo shoot, my friend and I decided to do three different summer looks. Tell me which one is your favourite :)!

A Rainy Day in the Market

Wednesday, June 25, 2014

Hello again~

I decided to post another set of photos since I have time now (I just finished up my final exam). So these photos were taken a couple weeks back. In the first set of photos, my friend and I decided to head to the Jean Talon market. Unfortunately because of the rain and cold, we were unable to take a good number of photos. We still had a good time nevertheless. If you ever visit Montreal, I really recommend stopping by the market to grab a bite or to explore. There's a lot of great food there (apart from just flowers)!

The second look was done in St-Hubert Plaza (by the boutique onze store). We intended to showcase this look for the 'look du jour' but unfortunately it did not work out since I the tag was showing in the photo. But I found the look to be especially nice since it suited her style really well :)

Thanks for reading!

Garden Party Dresses

Friday, June 20, 2014

Hey everybody :). I am back as well after the 3 year hiatus. Hopefully both of us will start posting more. I am looking forward to revamping the blog to make it more up-to-date.

Quick life update: I'm in University and I live in Montreal! Through living here, I feel like my fashion influences now come a lot from the city. It is a very fashion forward place (in comparison to other places in Canada) and I feel like everybody dresses so well here. I feel very lucky to be here and if you ever have any questions about the city (like where to visit), feel free to ask!

Lately, I've been working for a boutique called Onze Shop (http://www.onzeshop.com/) which is a Montreal boutique and an online store. I've been helping them out with their blogging and social media. For today's post I wanted to show you some of the photography and styling I've been doing. (I will post the links to all the dresses at the bottom!)

Unfortunately (as you can tell), the two top dresses were too big for her so the photos didn't work out. But I was very happy with how things turned out since it had been a couple of years since I did photography.

À la prochain,

Review: imPress Manicure

Saturday, May 17, 2014

Hello world! Long time no post. It's been about three years since my last post. I am back on here today to do a product review for imPress Manicure that I have received from Influenster. This is my very first VoxBox so when I received it, I was super excited! I received two press-on manicures:

Just Say Yes

Holla!

I never had a manicure before so this was something new for me. I decided to try out Just Say Yes because I didn't want to butcher Holla! just in case, since it's my favourite out of the two.

Each "nail polish bottle" comes with 24 press-ons. You pick out the nail pieces that fit your nails. Then, you simply peel off the back sticker and press them onto your nails. I'm not really sure why it came with a mini filer since it never mentioned it in the instructions, but I didn't end up using it.

Pros:
  • Perfectly painted nails, great for those who suck at painting their own nails
  • An assortment of fun designs from imPress which you won't be able to replicate easily (unless you are a nail genius)
  • No need to wait for drying!
Cons:
  • The painstakingly long time to find the right fit; I think I took at least 15 minutes...
  • The difficulty to remove some of the stickers at the back
  • The possibly of picking out a nail piece that might not completely match the other side
  • If dirt or something is stuck under the nail, it is hard to remove it
  • Only 24 pieces?? Therefore, you would could only possibly use one bottle twice since you only have 10 fingers and at most use 20 pieces. How wasteful...

My Final Verdict

I think the process of me finding the right nail pieces put me off from purchasing these in the future. They are definitely fun and cute, but it's a bit tiring to get them on. If they numbered the nail pieces (like matching ones so you will have both sides matching), maybe I wouldn't mind as much. I think I butchered the pinkies since one is bigger than the other.

They are supposed to last for two weeks but I won't know if they will until then. However, they may fall out faster since I work at a car assembly plant part time and they might get ruined...

Happy Belated Halloween

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

Believe it or not, I did not do anything for Halloween. So I thought I would dress up for a bit to for the belated Halloween spirit. It was supposed to be Vampire Masquerade but I didn't have any fangs unfortunately. I used Tarte's True Blood palette, does that count?
